The Light of Day Foundation is planning a massive celebration of its 25th anniversary in January of 2025, with a series of concerts across New Jersey and New York City to help raise money for Parkinson’s research. The festivities culminate with Bob’s Birthday Bash on January 18 at the Count Basie Center’s Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre, with a bill  that features John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, Brian Fallon of the Gaslight Anthem, Brian Baker of Bad Religion, and Pete Steinkopf of the Bouncing Souls. Light of Day started in November 2000 with a fundraiser at the famed Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey to show support for Bob Benjamin, a former Billboard writer and rock manager who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 1996. Bruce Springsteen took part in that show, and The Boss has regularly supported the cause over the years, leading the charity to raise over $6 million for Parkinson’s research over the past quarter century.
