Snoop Dogg Says Paul McCartney Told Him Not To To Put Out His Blunt When They Met

In a recent interview with Complex alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg recalled his memorable first time meeting Sir Paul McCartney. Snoop typically won’t snub out his blunt for anyone, but was willing to do it as a sign of respect during his initial encounter with the famous former Beatle. During the Jimmy Buffet Tribute at the historic Hollywood Bowl back in May, Snoop said he had an unexpected meeting with McCartney.

“I’ve never met him before but I’m a f**kin’ fan of the Beatles,” Snoop recalled. “I’m in the back smoking and they’re like, ‘Sir Paul would like to meet you.’ So I’m like, ‘Oh, for real? Hold on.’” Just as he was about to put out his blunt, McCartney entered and encouraged him to continue smoking. “Cuz walks in the room like, ‘Don’t put that down,’” Snoop said. “He give me a hug and he meets me, and it’s like, ‘F**k. Paul McCartney knows who the f**k Snoop Dogg is.’ That’s the experience that I love… when the people you respect, respect you.” (Consequence of Sound)
